I love a picnic. When the weather starts to warm up it's great to spread out a blanket and your favorite food, lie in the sun and read a book or hang out with friends. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a day. But when the weather starts to cool down like it is here, there is no reason not to picnic. Recently Craig and I set up a loungeroom picnic with a plate of Craig's favorite cheeses and dips, and my favorite pastries topped off with a bottle of champagne I'd received for my 30th.

It was a great night and something I'll definitely be doing again though the winter.

I love to personalise my picnics. These 2 DIY projects are a super easy way to add some personal style to your project.

These DIY butcher paper picnic bags by Oh Happy Day fits lots of goodies and would be a simple, fun way to provide food for at a kids party.

This DIY Chevron picnic blanket by Twig and Thistle is easy and you could easy create a huge range of different patterns.
