We all scream for ice cream. For my 30th birthday my lovely friends bought me an ice cream maker and I've been far to much ice cream ever since. My favorite by far have been chocolate sorbet and dairy-free orange ice cream.
I adapted Smitten Kitchen chocolate sorbet recipe, I like my chocolate bitter so I used raw sugar (because that's what I have in my cupboard) and reduced the quantity by half. I use Cafe Johnsonia dairy free meyer lemon curd ice cream recipe and swapped out the lemon for orange. The orange flavor is lovely but more subtle compared to the lemon, so next time I might either double the juice quantity and reduce it down to intensify the flavor or add some orange flower water or liquor.
